This role is responsible to oversee the day-to-day operations in the manufacturing plant in Perak.

Our client is the globally operating system provider of services and products in the field of conveying and treatment technology.

Description
  • In conjunction with the Technical Manager attend to the customer's changing needs and to provide effective and documented solutions.
  • Actively, visibly and personally lead the execution teams at all times especially during shut-down/breakdowns. Working with the Technical Manager ensure cover of this responsibility through night and day shifts.
  • Determine required execution sequences of service tasks through daily meetings and interaction with the Client's representatives and Company Site Leadership Team.
  • Responsible to receive Company Maintenance Planner's requests for service tasks and translate and communicate to Company Execution Teams, through Team Leaders and Supervisors.
  • Enforce work schedule (prepared by Maintenance Planner) by sourcing and deploying available manpower and resources.
  • Participate and contribute to weekly Operations Meetings with Site leadership - Technical Manager, H&S Officer, and Maintenance Planner.
  • Primary Responsibility for vehicle condition, and compliance supported by Maintenance Planner and H&S Officer.
  • Primary Responsibility for Company Site Compound conditions, keeping tidy and in orderly fashion at all times.
  • Primary Responsibility for ensuring all equipment, and tools are in safe, working condition, supported by the Maintenance Planner and H&S Officer, who are to provide weekly reports on any related issues requiring action.
  • To actively participate in Client meetings, document the content, and to actively close-out responsible actions arising from these meetings.
  • Provide Company Site Leadership with work progress updates through regular formal process - to include written communications. In conjunction with Maintenance Planner ensure the VMM representative is also updated
  • Prepare and approve Roster's in conjunction with the Maintenance Planner.
  • Provide work estimation and quoting-support.
  • Develop and implement site specific procedures, and improvements.
  • Contribute to the job claim management process.
  • Monitor and ensure sufficient material requirements by coordinating with the Maintenance Planner and as required with Company Kuala Lumpur.
  • Carry out other duties as and when required to fulfill the goals and mission of the Employer.
Profile
  • Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of people management experience in Mining, Power Plant or similar industry
  • Good command in English and Bahasa Malaysia
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills
  • Initiative and independence
