Assistant Supply Chain Manager

Responsibilities: 

  • Review or update supply chain practices in accordance with new or changing environmental policies,
  • standards, regulations or laws.
  • Document physical supply chain processes, such as workflows, cycle times, position responsibilities, or
  • system flows.
  • Liaise with Production Head on the production planning and to make sure product quality is maintained at all
  • times.
  • Design or implement supply chains that support business strategies adapted to changing market conditions,
  • new business opportunities, or cost reduction strategies.
  • Participate in the coordination of new product launches to ensure orderly and timely transitions in material
  • or production flow.
  • Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers/ vendors on goods & services.
  • Confer with Procurement & Warehouse Department to forecast demand or create supply plans that ensure
  • availability of materials or products.
  • Control inventory levels by conducting physical counts and reconcile with data storage system.
  • Design or implement plant warehousing strategies for production materials or finished products.
  • Analyze inventories to determine how to increase inventory turns, reduce waste, or optimize production and
  • storage management.
  • Maintain warehouse and logistics staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training them.
  • Maintain warehouse and logistics staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining them.
  • Plan, monitor and appraise job results.
  • Select transportation routes to maximize economy by combining routes or consolidating warehousing and
  • distribution.
  • Create logistics strategies that increase efficiency and speed.
  • Ensure timely delivery to outlets and no variance on product quantity to outlets during each delivery.
  • Manage activities related to strategic or tactical purchasing, material requirements planning, inventory
  • control, warehousing, logistics or receiving.
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify vulnerabilities and close operational gaps.
  • Any other responsibilities that assigned by superior
