Key Responsibilities:-
- Responsible for Month-end closing of accounts which include but not limited to journal preparation and processing including accrual, prepayment, provision, bank reconciliation, fixed asset addition and depreciation;
- Ensure all transactions and intercompany billings are accurately accounted for and confirmed. Identify and follow up any un-reconciled items, perform balance sheet and Profit and Loss variances and fluctuations analysis;
- Post- close reviews and preparation of reports including reconciliation of Balance Sheet accounts in Backline system; monthly and quarterly reporting requirements and compliance including COGNOS reports, MR packs, Tax Package, 10k reports, Form 5471, and other reports as required;
- Preparation and submission monthly and quarterly VAT/WHT reporting documents to the relevant authorities as required within stipulated deadlines;
- Coordination with the relevant sub-ledger departments (AP, AR, FA, Treasury, Costing, etc) in ensuring smooth operational functions and matters of each entity;
- Responsible in cash flow planning in ensuring sufficient liquidity in each entity to meet operating requirements;
- Ensure compliance with all statutory and local requirements including but not limited to accounting, taxation, audit and secretarial matters. This will include the timely preparation and submission of annual audit statutory accounts, income tax reports, annual returns, AGM, etc;
- Ensure all internal and SARBOX controls are adhered at the all times;
- Special project of tasks as required;
Requirements:-
- Degree in Accounting/ Finance with at least 3 years of relevant experience in preparation of full set of accounts;
- Possess good knowledge in accounting requirements and general accounting procedures;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, ERP systems preferably Oracle application;
- Detail-oriented and good analytical thinking;
- Able to work independently and a good team player;
- Strong sense of responsibility and accountability;
