Managed Services Engineer – Tier II

Kuala Lumpur

Job Responsibilities:

  • Part of the Managed Services team and as a second level contact for all authorized external clients and internal IT users.
  • Responsible for providing in-depth second level technical support of assigned technology/area.
  • Answers comprehensive questions about installation, operation, configuration, customization, and usage of assigned products.
  • Applies detail diagnostic techniques to identify problems, investigate causes and recommend solutions to correct common failures.
  • Research and analyze web-based technologies and services to keep current with emerging technologies.
  • Corresponds with company departments and internal cross-functional teams to promptly resolve customer issues.
  • Escalates complex problems to the higher level of expertise, Remote Support Engineering staff or Field Engineering (within the organization or customer organization).
  • Participate in root cause analysis and communicate findings to customers.
  • Understand internal or customer support processes in order to communicate and improve processes.
  • Work closely with customer Level 3 support to address the issue permanently.
  • Perform incident documentation and knowledge management documentation.
  • Ability to train and coordinate new hire onboarding.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Information Technology or relevant field.
  • At least 3 or more years of working experiences in Managed Services capacity or/and good understanding in the IT support operation.
  • Any Professional Certification related to IT Technical Support, ITIL Best Practice is preferred but optional.
  • Intermediate level technical services with little supervision from Supervisors, Team Leads or Technology Owners.
  • Ability to follow through with tasks, projects, troubleshooting with little supervision.
  • Good interpersonal and effective communication skill.
  • Event/Incident Correlation and Resolution, Strong Multi Technical Skill.
  • Proactive, independent and understand the pressures and demands of a fast-moving, complex System Integration environment.
  • Complete projects/tasks on a timely basis, according.
  • Fresh graduate with good learning attitudes is encouraged to apply.
