APAC Assistant Controller Job Description The purpose of this role is to drive improvements in controls compliance and reduce the risk of financial misstatement in APAC Consumer and Kimberly Clark Professional (KCP). This is achieved by having Excellent networks through partnering with senior management Excellent knowledge of end-to-end processes and SAP systems A deep understanding of US Gaap and IFRS accounting requirements Extensive CFI knowledge and application experience Risk based state of mind Customers include Corporate Control and APAC Controller (reporting line) APAC CFO and team and APAC President Legal, Compliance and Global Security teams GBS Director and leadership team Country GMs and Cluster GMs Product Supply Directors and their leadership teams VP HR and their leadership teams Internal and External Audit Responsibilities Leadership of a team of 6 direct reports Leading the Internal Control Team through the APAC Controller Focus on Product Supply risks through Product Supply Controller Partnering with above customers and their teams, supporting them in complying with their internal control responsibilities and financial reporting requirements Being a key player in continuous improvement initiatives and key projects eg AP automation, SOD, Archer/Mercury, control / process enhancements, SAP implementations Excellent balance sheet reviews across APAC (country and region) – completeness, challenge and quality role Reviewing account reconciliations in Blackline for quality control Working as a key support to the Controller to develop excellent relationships and understanding with Internal and External audit Remediation follow up and reporting on any points raised in audits or self assessments/controls testing Controls scorecard reporting and targeting improvements CFI training Policy and Procedure database creation and maintenance FRL quality and timeliness The role involves travelling on a regular basis to visit customers within the region at mills, regional headquarters and distribution centres across APAC. Requirements Strong Controllership and financial skills Strong Internal or External audit experience including audit planning and customer engagement Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills, leading from the front and inspiring team members Keen business partnership, smart risk approach, resolution-oriented Close but unbiased relation to business accepted as trusted business partner Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills The ability to challenge and influence throughout the business. Demonstrated ability to achieve results under pressure A strong team player comfortable in explaining concepts whilst being assertive, self-motivated and determined. Preferred skills / experience Ideally with a strong background and experience in Finance coupled with experience in Change Management,  Manufacturing, Customer Management or Logistics The candidate will need strong IT skills (SAP) Global VISA and Relocation Specifications: K-C requires that an employee have authorization to work in the country in which the role is based. In the event an applicant does not have current work authorization, K-C will determine, in its sole discretion, whether to sponsor an individual for work authorization. However, based on immigration requirements, not all roles are suitable for sponsorship. This role is available for local candidates already authorized to work in the role’s country only.
