Responsibilities
- Strategise and secure positive press coverage, place success stories, pitch news, organise media events across digital and traditional media on a regional level
- Spearhead, build and enhance reputation of the company in the media and across communities in APAC region
- Keep up to date with the latest press releases and news related to the organization and provide timely reports to management
- Develop and write press releases, speeches and internal publication material
- Develop creative media plan and ensuring that quality & quantity of media coverage is achieved with clear measurement metrics
- Plan and execute launch/media events or activations to drive media exposure and brand exposure
- Strategise and manage BIG advocacy program which involves identify and developing year long engagement plans
- Manage close relationship with traditional media and new age communities to drive constant brand engagement and recall
- Coordinate media interest and ensure regular contact with target media and appropriate response to media requests
- Collaborate with Brand/Creative, Marketing/Social and Commercial teams to develop an integrated communication plan that drives exposure for the brand and projects encompassing launch awareness and sustenance phase.
- Manage a good relationship and collaborate with AirAsia communication team to maximise opportunities and coverage
- Handle day-to-day media inquiries and briefings
Requirements
- Possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Communications/PR/Journalism combined with related professional experience
- 7 years of relevant experience
- Excellent network within media and a deep understanding of how to build relationships at all levels including media, influencers, internal and external stakeholders, bloggers and communities is critical
- Must be energetic and proactive
- Ability to work effectively and independently within a dynamic and fast-paced company organization
- Ability to work with international teams
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken
- Previous Airline Industry experience is desirable
