Key Roles
User Interface/Front-end
- Understand a customer’s brief and converting that into appealing, highly usable interfaces
- Develop and maintain design processes and drive design decisions
- Create, improve and use wireframes, prototypes, style guides, user flows and effectively communicate ideas using these methods
- Leverage tools efficiently to communicate enhancement specification and capture defects
- Build and validate all visual/functional enhancements
- Ensure visual and interactive integrity of front-end build
- Validate all UI states have been implemented to specifications and standards
- Estimate design schedules and usability test needs, including milestones, and communicate these to all stakeholders
- Observe usability tests and drive the results into actionable items
- Conduct user research during analysis phase, e.g. user interview, web analysis, usability test, etc
User Experience
- Contribute concepts and ideation for marketing and digital initiatives
- Research and rapidly design functional solutions to enhance the customer experience
- Design final user interfaces leveraging on best practices
- Collaborate with development team on technical recommendations
- Navigate the site often to understand the customer journey and uncover areas of opportunit
- Create specifications as needed
- Drive creation of best-in-class user experiences
- Maintain Digital Style Guide (wiki) and UI inventory Presentation Support
- Prepare decks as needed for better communication of a concept
- Partner with various leads to organise layouts and deliver for executive presentation Team Work * Attend and contribute to team meetings in a positive manner
- Share information with team members
- Be comfortable in working with all stakeholders
- Collaborate with other team members to apply new ideas, practices and tools to improve the team’s effectiveness
- Perform other duties as required, including covering absences/leave where required
Specification
- College or University degree in Design/Interactive or a related discipline
- 2+ years web design experience
- Passionate advocate for usability and user experience
- Solid graphic design experience with Photoshop, Illustrator and prototyping tools
- Experience with brand creation and guidelines
- A good eye for design (illustrations, compelling visual elements, typography, color schemes, etc)
- Strong knowledge of responsive design principles and UI/UX best practices
- Ability to translate complex design challenges into clear, customer-friendly experiences
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
