Chrisjac are looking for a qualified Accountant to assume the role of Finance Manager with a public listed company based at Mid Valley City, KL.
About the job
This is a full time permanent position, reporting directly to the senior Finance Manager of the group in Malaysia. The role will be to assist the senior Finance Manager in the management of day-to-day operations of the Finance department.
The role will be to manage the full spectrum of accounting and finance functions of the company and several subsidiary companies within the group. The incumbent will be responsible to manage and lead the Accounting team to produce accurate financial and management reports. The incumbent will lead the month end process from beginning to end.
Key responsibilities:

Produce monthly reports for different operation teams.
Monitor and analyse accounting data and produce monthly monthly financial reports.
Preparing management reports for the companies and its subsidiaries.
Take the lead role in the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
Manage the fixed assets and revenue team ensuring compliance.
Review the company's financial statement for variances and cost control implementation and other budgetary controls.
Manage and monitor subordinates' works in respect of payables, receivables. 
The candidate
To be considered for this senior accounting role, candidate must possess a Bachelor degree in Accounting qualification or ACCA/CIMA graduate. Preference for candidates who are in age group 35-45 with at least 5-8 years of overall accounting experience.
Ideally candidate with prior experience in PLC set up will be an asset. However, candidates with solid accounting/finance experience in other industries will be duly considered.
The successful applicant will be strong in accounting knowledge, a confident and well organised self-starter with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Good command of spoken and written English is required with good writing skills.
A good working knowledge of accounting standards (FRS & IAS),taxation and company law will definitely a prerequisite to be considered for this role.
This exciting role will be based at the corporate office in Mid Valley City area. Their business working hours are on a 5-day week basis, 8.30 am-5.30pm. It is important that the applicants will find it convenient to work in the location.
