  • Develops, coordinates, and oversees implementation of systematic SHE processes;
  • Supervise Safety Officers;
  • Develops KPI's for safety monitoring and reporting;
  • Ensure that Project is meeting SHE goals and objectives;
  • Coordinate all internal and external HSE assessments;
  • Facilitate communication and coordination with functional department;
  • Coach/advise the project Safety Officers as they oversee Contractors compliance with the Project Safety Management System goals;
  • Communicate expectations for overall project SHE activities, such as Project Health and Environment Plan and related procedures and programs;
  • Work with Construction Manager and Procurement on subcontractor prequalification and safety performance;
  • Review and advise the General Contractor on its' SHE plans and procedures;
  • Provide assistance to and participate in risk assessments and studies as defined by the Project SHE Program;
  • Organize and participate in incident investigations, including development of remedial action item;
  • Facilitate the Project Safety Steering Committee;
  • Facilitate/encourage heightened SHE awareness and behaviour;
  • Interface with Downstream safety team and client groups to align with overall project safety goals;



  • 3 to 5 years in positions related to construction SHE;
  • Requires expert knowledge of OSHA requirements or equivalent with appropriate qualifications;
  • DOSH & CIDB standards, codes, and practices;
  • College / University degree and/or technical diploma;
  • Previous successful leadership role in international SHE activities and judgment;
  • Ability and desire to function in an integrated project team environment;
  • Ability to work in harsh environments, in stressful situations, with ever changing priorities;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software programs, etc.
  • Read, write, and speak fluent English, especially as required to function effectively within a project team and to communicate with client, consultants, project management, and sub-contractors;
  • Demonstrated ability to develop successful working relationships with emphasis on leadership, interfacing, and mentoring in a team environment;
  • Approx. 2 years contract
  • 6-days work week
