Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

(1) Assist to develop, oversee and drive activities relevant to the Aviation Development unit’s work scope including, but not limited to, the following:
 (i)            Performing an economic evaluation on all Licence and Permit applications and make recommendations to the Licensing and Air Traffic Right Management Committee on the issuance of such Licences and Permits;

(ii)           Performing an economic evaluation on all Air Traffic Rights applications and make recommendations to the Management on the issuance of the Air Traffic Rights Certificates; and

(iii)          Consider, approve or reject applications of any scheduled or non-scheduled flight filings

 

(2) Assist in the planning, development and implementation of key regulations, including:
 (i)            Licensing & Permit Regulation;

(ii)           Air Traffic Rights Allocation Regulation; and

(iii)          Filing Regulation 

 

(3) Assist in planning, developing and implementing stakeholder engagement and management with the various parties connected to the Commission i.e. the Ministry of Transport (“MOT”), Department of Civil Aviation (“DCA”), Ministry of Tourism and Culture (“MOTAC”), Ministry of International Trade and Industry (“MITI”), Ministry of Home Affairs (“MOHA”), and other relevant government agencies; and
 

(4) Assist in carrying out various industry studies or reviews through conducting research and analysis

 

Work Experience Requirements:

  •  Minimum 3 years of Working Experience in either Aviation or Financial Field
  • Preferably minimum 3 years on regulatory and/or policy-setting role
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
  • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given
