We are seeking an experienced Factory Manager to be based at our Factory and successful applicant will lead a multi functional team to achieve key targets within the factory environment leading to the delivery of cost, quality and efficiency benefits.

Key Responsibilities will lie in the following functional areas:

  • Directing and coordinating full operations of the factory and warehouses;
  • Responsible for production planning cost control, manpower planning, stock control/planning, budgeting, scheduling and quality control;
  • People management, motivation and structured development of the workforce to create flexible, effective and multi skilled team across all disciplines;
  • To provide inspirational leadership at all times and make use of KPIs to ensure targets are met or exceeded. The ability to analyse and make use of appropriate data for decision making;
  • Preparation, implementation and supervision of realistic and challenging manufacturing budgets and plans to ensure achievement of agreed output, costs and manning targets within defined quality  and customers requirements;
  • To ensure the implementation of and adherence to all company and factory control procedures to ensure compliance with statutory requirements in environmental legislation , quality standards and Health & Safety;
  • Work closely with departments and workforce to ensure that factory performance is exceptional in all areas;
  • To act as Manager ensuring that all operations are carried out efficiently and safely.

Key Requirements/Qualifications

  1. Must have minimum Degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering;
  2. A proven record in a similar role and below 50 years old;
  3. Demonstrable managerial and leadership competency;
  4. A high degree of self-motivation;
  5. The ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organisation and customers;
  6. Demonstrable ability to implement structured problem solving techniques, create solutions and delegate responsibility;
  7. Demonstrable use of TPM tools and techniques to generate continuous improvement culture;
  8. High degree in computer literacy and numeracy and competence in the use of all Microsoft applications;
  9. Effective understanding of financial budget and cost control;
  10. An in depth knowledge of current employment law and of health, safety and environmental regulations;
  11. Sound engineering knowledge - desired;
  12. Good understanding of ISO 9001 and 5S
