Key responsibilities:
+ To manage key event data for the global fleet global fleet utilizing a variety of official sources in order to evaluate relevant data
+ To actively research and maintain data attributes
+ To Input data accurately onto the database from a variety of sources
+ To investigate, by use of email, fax or telephone, any queries arising from information received
+ To carry out audits on the data as required
+ To assist in securing and maintaining quality feeds to support IHS Maritime databases
+ To ensure the team’s work and methods are carried out according to Company’s Quality policy and Style Guide
+ Educated to a minimum of Graduate, or equivalent
+ Previous work experience with databases would be advantageous
+ Investigative, research & analysis skills
+ Previous employment within the industry or aboard ship or in a relevant shore-based position would be an advantage.
+ Ability to work to a high level of accuracy
+ Genuine interest in maritime affairs
+ Others: Foreign language
Other criteria:
+ At least moderate command in English – both spoken & written.
+ Geographic & ocean navigation knowledge.
+ Some basic understanding of ship parts & operations.
+ Surveyors, adjustors, actuaries , investigators (preferably in the shipping, logistics, SCM fields) or involved in maritime law or insurance market. Would consider journalists/reporters specializing in Maritime.
