Job description

• Provide administrative support to the Academic Department in day-to-day operations.
• Prepare, update, and maintain academic documents, reports, timetables, and departmental records.
• Carry out all duties with integrity, professionalism, accuracy, and a high level of responsibility.
• Comply with the college's policies, procedures, and quality assurance requirements.
• Ensure all academic administrative processes are carried out accurately, efficiently, and within established timelines.
• Maintain confidentiality of all student, academic, and examination information.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Head of Department or Management from time to time.

Additional Requirement / Knowledge

• Possess knowledge and understanding of Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) requirements, Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) guidelines, and accreditation processes.

Role Purpose

To deliver MPU courses effectively (e.g., MPU1/MPU2/MPU3/MPU4 as assigned), ensuring compliance with MOHE/MPU requirements and academic standards, while supporting student development and institutional quality assurance.

Job Responsibilities:

• Deliver lectures/tutorials for assigned MPU courses and ensure teaching is aligned with approved syllabus and learning outcomes.
• Develop and update course materials aligned with programme outcomes.
• Attend meetings, complete required documentation, and support departmental activities.
• Monitor student participation, attendance, and performance; provide guidance and feedback to support progression.
• Contribute to curriculum development and academic administration.

Job Requirements:

• Master’s degree in relevant field (e.g., General Studies, Islamic Studies, Moral Studies, Malaysian Studies, Political Sciences, Social Sciences, Communication, etc.)
• Experience teaching MPU or General Studies courses is an added advantage.
• Have attend Training of Trainers (TOT)
• Able to prepare assessments with proper blueprinting, rubrics, and marking scheme documentation

Preferred

• Familiarity with MPU structure/requirements and audit documentation
• Experience with ODL/LMS delivery and student engagement strategies
