Keperluan

• Minimum Diploma atau Ijazah Sarjana Muda dalam Sains Komputer, Kejuruteraan, Sains Data, Kecerdasan Buatan atau bidang berkaitan

Reporting to the Analytics Manager, you will be an important analytics partner focused on Trust and Safety for a specific Problem Space Team (PST). Your primary focus is to analyze user behavior and product funnels to identify potential risks. The Senior Data Engineer role in the Metrics Platform team is a hybrid data and software engineering role. You will be an important member of the team that designs, builds, and operates Grab's metrics platform across metric serving, ingestion, metadata, query generation, platform APIs and several cross platform integrations. You will be responsible from technical design and implementation to rollout and production operations. You will contribute hands-on while guiding engineering quality through design reviews, operational improvements, and collaboration with partner teams.

You will report to the Senior Data Engineering Manager and will be based onsite at our office in Petaling Jaya.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• You will build platform capabilities that help teams model, publish, discover, and consume trusted metrics and data products across Grab.
• You will develop and improve platform services, APIs, metadata systems, query generation, and tooling used by metrics publishers and consumers.
• You will collaborate with engineering, analytics, and data science teams to onboard new use cases and integrate their systems with the metrics platform.
• You will improve the developer and data practitioner experience by building self-serve workflows, automation, documentation, and operational tooling.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Identify, develop, and deploy AI use cases within AlMg Substrate manufacturing, targeting yield improvement, defect reduction, and equipment downtime minimization across Plate, Wash, and Polish processes.  
• Build predictive and prescriptive models using available internal AI tools on manufacturing process data extracted from MES, ERP, and IoT/sensor sources.  
• Apply statistical analysis techniques including SPC, DOE, Cpk analysis, hypothesis testing, and multivariate analysis to uncover KPIV-KPOV relationships in substrate manufacturing processes.  
• Develop and maintain end-to-end(Substrate-Media-HDD) analytics pipelines - from data extraction and preparation through model training, validation, and production deployment.  
• Create self-serve data dashboards and automated reports using Spotfire to support real-time Cpk, Yield, and SPC monitoring for the manufacturing line.  
• Support AI-driven root cause analysis for quality excursions, reducing manual investigation cycle time.

1. Clickstream Intelligence Platform (Scribe) is Grab's in-house app instrumentation and insights platform that captures and analyzes user clickstream activity across all Grab apps. The platform supports observability, real-time personalization, and business analytics by processing tens of billions of events per hour at petabyte scale.
2. Customer Data Platform (CDP) enables Grab Teams to onboard and register Grab's customer data and make it available for Online Serving, ML Models, Segmentation, and Real Time targeting to power personalization use cases across the company. Our platform is used across many mission-critical Grab services such as app personalization, experimentation, ads serving, and marketing.
