This role ensures that material delivery, storage/distribution, piling works, mounting structures, trackers, module installation, and related infrastructure and civil works are constructed in accordance with approved drawings, technical specifications, EPC contract requirements, quality standards, and HSSE obligations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and inspect pile installation works (verticality, embedment depth, torque compliance).
  • Piling works comply with design tolerances and specifications.
  • Verify mounting structure and tracker installation (alignment, tolerances, torque, corrosion protection).
  • Installation quality meets approved drawings and contract requirements.
  • Participate in technical coordination meetings with EPC, consultants, and internal engineering team
  • Design issues clarified and resolved
  • Monitor and inspect module installation (clamping torque, damage-free handling, layout conformity).
  • Modules installed without defects and within specified standards.
  • Assist to monitor selected civil works (roads, drainage, culverts, foundations, grading).
  • Civil works are constructed in accordance with approved specifications.
  • Verify compliance with approved method statements and ITPs.
  • Installation follows documented quality procedures.
  • Conduct routine site inspections and document findings.
  • Clear and traceable inspection records maintained.
  • Raise non-conformance findings and monitor rectification to closure.
  • Timely resolution of quality deviations.
  • Conduct site inspections, testing witnesses, and preparing punch lists
  • Quality and commissioning readiness
  • Coordinate with QA/QC and Survey teams on tolerance verification.
  • Reduced rework and improved installation accuracy.
  • Support HSSE compliance by escalating observed safety non-conformances.
  • Safe working environment maintained.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by project leadership.
  • Task completion.
  • Inspect incoming materials upon delivery (quantity, condition, compliance with specifications) and oversee on-site logistics, distribution, and proper storage within project premises.
  • Materials are received defect-free, correctly documented, and stored/handled in accordance with project quality and safety requirements.


Education And Qualifications

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Professional certification or relevant technical training.


Work Experience

  • 3–6 years of site-based construction experience, including work on projects involving trackers.
  • Experience in utility-scale solar (50MW+) or steel structure projects.


Technical / Professional Skills

  • Drawing interpretation
  • Structural tolerances
  • QA/QC and ITP verification.
  • Experience in LSS mechanical installation and torque verification -single axis tracking system.


Non-Technical / Soft Skills

  • Detail-oriented.
  • Strong documentation discipline
  • Professional contractor engagement
  • Good communication. Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia
  • Self-directed
  • Multilingual ability advantageous.
