The Senior Materials Management Analyst is responsible for ensuring effective planning, control, and optimization of material flow across the supply chain to support operational, inventory, and customer delivery objectives. The role partners closely with procurement, planning, manufacturing, logistics, suppliers, and business stakeholders to drive material availability, inventory health, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage material planning activities to ensure timely availability of materials required to meet production and customer demand.
- Monitor inventory levels, identify shortages or excess inventory, and implement corrective actions to optimize working capital.
- Analyze material requirements, demand forecasts, lead times, and supply risks to support uninterrupted operations.
- Collaborate with sourcing teams and suppliers to resolve supply constraints and improve material availability.
- Drive inventory management initiatives, including cycle count reviews, inventory accuracy, excess and obsolete inventory reduction, and inventory optimization.
- Support Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) processes through data analysis and inventory insights.
- Develop and maintain material management metrics, dashboards, and reports to support business decision-making.
- Investigate material shortages, delivery misses, and inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes and implementing sustainable solutions.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects focused on supply chain performance, productivity, and process standardization.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality requirements related to materials planning and inventory control.
- Involvement on licensing projects (Coordinator)
- Direct Ship project/ activities coordinator
Responsibilities
Key Experience & Capabilities:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
- Significant experience in materials planning, inventory management, supply chain operations, or procurement.
- Experience using ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Rapid Response, or similar enterprise planning tools.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret large datasets and generate actionable insights.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and supply chain reporting tools.
