We are currently seeking to hire
Maternity Cover teacher to join us on 20 July 2026 to teach KSSM Pendidikan Islam in our national secondary school.
Purpose of Role

Summary Of Responsibilities And Duties
- Plan, prepare, present lessons to cater for the needs of the whole ability range within the class.
- Motivate students.
- Organize classroom and learning resources, create displays to encourage a positive learning environment.
- Organize and participate in school events, outings and activities.
- Prepare students for internal and external examinations.
- Actively contributes to community cohesion and harmony.
- Adherence to good practice for safeguarding the welfare of children.
Communication, marketing and PR
- Ensure professional and effective communication and consultation, as appropriate, between colleagues, parents and students at Asia Pacific Smart School (APSS)
- Publicise and celebrate achievements
- Assist with the organisation of open days (physical or virtual), consultation events and other school events.
- Contribute to marketing activities for Asia Pacific Smart School (APSS)
Other Expectation
- Fully and positively participate in the school’s performance appraisal scheme in order to develop and enhance personal and service performance
- Undertake any other reasonable duties requested/assigned as required by Senior Leadership Team (SLT) or Line Manager (HOD), especially with regard to the school’s administrative functions
- Ensure that school policies including those relating to Safeguarding, Race Equality, Equal Opportunities, Code of Conduct and Health & Safety are adhered to.
Skills, Qualifications And Experience
- Possess a bachelor’s degree in education with relevant specialisation OR a Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field with a Postgraduate Diploma/Degree in Teaching/Education
- Candidate who is currently teaching Secondary to national students is preferred
- Minimum two (2) years’ full-time teaching Secondary in a national school
- Fresh graduates with strong background in the relevant subjects are also encouraged to apply
- Computer literate with good interpersonal communication skills
- Fluency in written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia
