Job Summary of Product Engineer-RCS
Our client, a global leader in advanced vehicle safety technology, is looking for a Product Engineer to work on cutting-edge products for the major automotive OEMs. In this position, you will both guide development teams at the product-level and own the calibrations for this specific ECU.

Responsibilities Of Product Engineer-RCS
- Root cause ECU system level issues, occurring both internally and at the customer
- ECU configuration file creation, validation and release for pre/production vehicles
- Hands-on support of product builds and major validation activities (DV/PV)
- Preparation and validation of engineering and customer product samples
- Understand details pertaining to the product electrical, software and mechanical domain architectures/implementations
- Support domain specific engineers in bridging to other product domains
- Be the technical link between the product design team and the customer support team
- Interface product knowledge to ECU manufacturing
- Define the need for, and use of, project specific tools to support product development
- ECU diagnostic communication (via CAN, LIN, Ethernet, etc.)
- ECU/MCU data flash programming
- ECU load simulation (load box) design and creation
- ECU configuration
- Data analysis/review
Qualifications
- BSEE (or related field) with 2+ years of experience in vehicle electronics/embedded controls development, specifically diagnosing automotive ECUs.
- Extensive experience working with CAN tools (Vector, etc.)
- Strong background in automotive diagnosis (UDS), with the ability to root cause issues to the software and hardware level.
- A proven track record as a problem solver for complex technical issues.
- Any experience in software calibration is a plus.
- Strong communication and organizational skills, as the position has a high level of interaction with different teams, both in-house and with the customer.
