We are looking for a Compliance Officer to join our Malaysia team. This role is responsible for ensuring day-to-day compliance with AML/CFT/CPF requirements, managing suspicious transaction reporting, and supporting a strong compliance framework. The successful candidate will be appointed as the nominated Compliance Officer for our Malaysia Money Services Business, in line with Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) requirements. You will work closely with senior compliance stakeholders and the regional compliance team.


What you’ll be spending your time on:


  • Act as the nominated Compliance Officer for the Malaysia MSB.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with BNM and relevant authorities.
  • Review, investigate, and submit Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) and regulatory filings.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and support implementation across the business.
  • Support compliance risk assessments, policy reviews, and internal controls.
  • Assist with CDD, risk-based assessments, and transaction monitoring.
  • Maintain awareness of emerging ML/TF/PF risks and industry best practices.
  • Deliver and support AML/CFT/CPF training for employees.
  • Support regulatory inspections, audits, and remediation efforts.


For this role you'll also have:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business, or related field.
  • 3–5 years’ experience in compliance, AML/CFT, or regulatory roles; experience in payments, fintech, or MSB preferred.
  • Good working knowledge of AML/CFT/CPF requirements, AMLA, and BNM policy documents.
  • Full professional proficiency in Bahasa, English, and Chinese (Mandarin) is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and independent judgment.
  • Professional, ethical, and able to handle sensitive matters discreetly.
  • Professional certifications (e.g. CAMS, ICA) are a plus.
