About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on System / DevOps Engineer to join our technical team and help build, automate, and maintain our internal infrastructure.
In this role, you will work across system administration, internal networking services, security infrastructure, containerized applications, databases, monitoring, and deployment automation.
This is a practical role ideal for engineers who enjoy working close to systems, troubleshooting infrastructure issues, and turning manual operational processes into reliable automation.
What You’ll Do
- Administer and maintain Linux-based systems, primarily Debian/Ubuntu or similar distributions.
- Manage internal DNS and DHCP services using Technitium or similar technologies.
- Maintain internal PKI infrastructure and TLS certificates using step-ca or similar tools.
- Configure and maintain reverse proxies and load-balancing services using Nginx, HAProxy, or similar technologies.
- Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Operate and maintain databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, or similar systems.
- Build and maintain monitoring and metrics infrastructure using Prometheus, Grafana, or similar tools.
- Develop configuration-management and automation workflows using Ansible.
- Automate existing infrastructure and operational processes that are currently managed manually.
- Troubleshoot system, application, networking, and infrastructure issues across multiple services.
- Help improve the reliability, consistency, and observability of internal infrastructure.
- Work closely with the technical team to standardize infrastructure configuration and operational practices.
What We’re Looking For (Requirements)
- Foundational experience with Linux system administration, preferably Debian/Ubuntu or similar distributions.
- Basic understanding and hands-on experience with DNS and DHCP services.
- Familiarity with PKI, TLS certificates, certificate authorities, and certificate lifecycle management.
- Experience with reverse proxies and load balancing using Nginx, HAProxy, or similar technologies.
- Experience deploying and managing containers using Docker and Docker Compose.
- Basic experience operating databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, or similar systems.
- Familiarity with monitoring and metrics systems such as Prometheus and Grafana.
- Ability to use Ansible for configuration management and infrastructure automation.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, investigate infrastructure issues, and learn unfamiliar systems.
- Interest in infrastructure automation, reliability, and building maintainable internal systems.
Nice to Have
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes or other container orchestration platforms.
- Experience building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or similar tools.
- Experience with centralized log aggregation using Loki, ELK, or similar technologies.
- Familiarity with secrets-management solutions such as Vault, SOPS, or similar tools.
- Experience automating infrastructure deployment and operational workflows.
- Experience working across both development and operations environments.
