Salary: RM 5,000 / month + Eligible for Overtime (OT)
Working Hours: Monday – Saturday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) to oversee daily safety operations on our construction site in Penang. You will be responsible for ensuring that all site activities strictly comply with OSHA regulations, maintaining a hazard-free work environment, and fostering a strong safety culture among the site team. This is a project-based contract role with a strong possibility of converting into a permanent, full-time position based on performance and project pipeline.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily site safety inspections to identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are taken immediately.
- Supervise site workers and subcontractors to ensure full compliance with safety standards, SOPs, and legal requirements.
- Assist the Safety Officer / Project Manager in implementing the Site Safety & Health Plan.
- Conduct daily toolbox meetings and safety briefings for site workers.
- Investigate any site accidents, near-misses, or dangerous occurrences, and prepare detailed incident reports.
- Ensure all necessary safety signage, barricades, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) are properly maintained and utilized on-site.
- Maintain updated safety documentation and records for audit purposes.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Certification: Must hold a valid Yellow Book certification from NIOSH/DOSH.
- Registration: Must be actively registered with CIDB (valid green card/registration).
- Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of hands-on experience as a Site Safety Supervisor in construction or civil engineering projects.
- Skills: Strong communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia (knowledge of local dialects/Mandarin is an added advantage for site communication).
- Attributes: High level of integrity, firm on safety protocols, and capable of working effectively under pressure.
- Availability: Able to commit to a 6-day work week (Monday to Saturday).
