Independent Design: Perform structural design and analysis of building, infrastructure, or industrial projects.
Drafting Coordination: Provide clear instructions and check drawings produced by draftsmen
Coordination: Liaise with architects, clients, and contractors to resolve design conflicts and site issues. Attend to site inspections and site meetings
Regulatory Submissions: Prepare and submit designs to local authorities for approval.
Others: Able to travel and attend to outstations jobs as required.
Recruitment Criteria
Education & Experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering from a recognized university.
Registration: Must be registered with Board of Engineer Malaysia (BEM) as Graduate Engineer or be in the process of obtaining a Professional Engineer (PE) license
Experience:
1-3 years of relevant working experience in a Civil & Structural consultancy firms.
Must have experience in both structural and infrastructure design projects.
Experience in handling mid-rise or high-rise structure design and authority submissions.
Site Experience: Proven experience in site coordination, inspection, or construction management is strongly preferred.
2. Technical Skills & Design Proficiency
Structural Analysis: Sound understanding of structural behaviour, load path, and analysis for concrete, steel, and foundation design.
Software Proficiency:
Modelling/Drafting: High proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit (BIM)
Analysis: Proficiency in industry design software, such as ETABS, STAAD.Pro, TEKLA, ESTEEM, Prota Structure, CYPE
General: Advanced Microsoft Excel for calculations.
Codes & Standards: In-depth knowledge of local and international design codes (e.g. Eurocodes, ACI, AISC,BS)
Deliverables: Ability to produce detailed calculations, technical reports, and design drawings.
Quantity Estimation: Experience in preparing Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and cost proposals.

Project Managements: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting and stakeholder management.
Mentorship: Ability to guide junior engineers and interns.
