The Reliability Engineer deliver result by optimizing plant equipment and installation based on Demarcation Area through deployment of dynamic Preventive Maintenance (PM) plan and related initiative/improvement. This role is required to align PM strategy with Plant & Combined Business Needs (CBN) without compromising delivery of results and standards including;
- Leading Preventive Maintenance Plan & Execution.
- Review & Assuring Required Spare parts & Inventory Level.
- Develop Action Plan (Mitigation, Corrective & Preventive) for breakdown/issue.
- Review Preventive Maintenance plan to be dynamic and suit to real condition of plant.
- Defining standards & procedure.
- Coordinating Maintenance Program within internal & external team.
- Cost efficient & control.
Safety Health Environment:
- Drives a Safety Health and Environment culture and role model behaviours. Responsible for Safety Health and Environment requirements and legislation implementation and complies to legal and corporate standards & policies. Executes actions with speed.
- Escalates and implement solutions to impact risks in ergonomics and working conditions.
- Ensures that all maintenance required to ensure the Safety, Health and Environment aspects of equipment are known and included in the preventative maintenance system, standards.
- Ensures that all safety instructions, required Lock Out Tag Out Test Out (LOTOTO) and permit to work (PTW) and equipment comply to required safety measures (e.g. Safety switches, LOTOTO points).
- Checks if work permit is adequate and execution is according to plan; takes care of technician's/contractor's and third-party employees' safety.
- Ensure all technical plans of equipment including those related to energy are updated and available
- Immediately corrects any substandard condition or unsafe behaviours.
- Reports unsafe situations and ensures adequate corrective measures are being taken on time.
- Stops work when safety is at risk. Escalates with enough anticipation what capacity and support are required to get the job done safely.
- Reviews Safety performance as part of the daily Operations Performance meetings Structure- OPS.
- Leads and or participates in incident/accident investigations and Risk Assessments.
Quality:
- Drives a Quality culture and role model behaviours. Ensure all maintenance interventions guarantee Quality requirements and legislation implementation and compliance to legal and corporate standards & policies.
- Responsible for integrating Quality tasks such as parts replacement, calibrations, inspections, cleaning etc. into the preventative maintenance plan.
- Ensures that maintenance intervention does not generate non-conformities.
Leadership:
- Drives manufacturing excellence within the Maintenance / Production team through engaged leadership and coaching.
- Develops and coaches the associates in the team to close the competency gap.
- Develops technical standards used to close the competency gap.
Delivery & Cost:
- Takes full responsibility to reduction of technical related losses and achieve performance targets.
- Identifies and executes improvement actions generated from data analysis related to equipment performance.
- Owns and leads breakdown elimination system, maintenance planning and scheduling system.
- Responsible for implementing the preventative maintenance plan on time in full ensuring the optimal functioning of equipment.
- Responsible for reviewing effectiveness of maintenance interventions.
- Ensure effective coordination between production, planning and maintenance.
- Owns, manages and optimizes Maintenance and Repair costs.
- Conceptualizes, proposes and implements diagnostic, structural and or technical improvements.
- Responsible for the successful completion of subcontracted work carried out in the area/line of responsibility.
- Responsible for the management and optimization of spare parts stock with store team.
- Analyzes of spare part rotations and ensures a 'Just in time' replenishment system.
- Optimizes the cost for spare parts balancing availability, cost and quality.
- Responsible for the update and availability of technical information such as manuals, list of potential suppliers and documentation.
- Ensures availability and understanding of technical plans of new machines. Provide inputs into technical requirements for new machines, inclusively improvements made to have higher reliability better maintenance cost.
- Implements Manufacturing Operating System - MOS roll out plan with a hands-on approach through using and owning the relevant tools.
- Supports implementation of Autonomous Maintenance in line with Autonomous Maintenance plan within the shift through adherence to Autonomous Maintenance systems such as Cleaning Inspecting and Lubricating - CIL, Defect Handling - DH and Centerline - CL and performing Autonomous Maintenance audits and closing actions identified on time in full.
