A) Review, research and analysis

1. Conduct review, research and analysis on cross border digital trade / e-commerce matters including those being discussed and explored at global and regional level and under free trade agreements and other international collaborations, including those reported and/or published by:

• International organizations (e.g., United Nations, WTO, OECD, ASEAN, APEC etc.)
• Relevant Ministries and Agencies (e.g., MITI, EPU, Department of Statistics Malaysia, MATRADE etc.)
• Leading industry bodies (e.g., International Chamber of Commerce etc.
• Other commonly cited online reports and resources.

2. Organize, analyze and synthesize information gathered for identification of trends, best practices and benchmarking

3. Develop detailed report with findings and recommendations

4. Prepare and develop findings into presentations to MDEC internal and external stakeholders

B) Free Trade Agreements and Cross Border Collaborations

1. Review and analyse relevant free trade agreements and cross border collaborations relevant and relating to digital trade / e-commerce

2. Benchmark and make comparisons

3. Review and analyse Malaysia’s position including relevant laws and regulations

4. Formulate proposed position for Malaysia

5. Draft input and prepare reports

C) Thought Leadership and Regional Presence

1. Identify and prioritise opportunities for MDEC to establish thought leadership position in digital trade / e-commerce at regional and global forums

2. Plan, organise and manage regional symposium, workshops, seminars on digital trade / e-commerce)

D) Stakeholder Engagement

1. Engage and obtain buy in from stakeholders from both public and private sectors

2. Engage, organise and conduct focus group discussions with relevant stakeholders

E) Other

1. Perform other tasks as may be assigned by Senior Manager, Cross Border Rules

Qualifications 

1. Degree in law, international relations, economics, journalism, English language, statistics, ICT or other relevant fields.

2. At least 5 years’ experience in a direct or related field.

3. Knowledge and/exposure relating to digital trade / e-commerce and working experience in public policy analysis, economic analysis, legal, international trade, industry development, stakeholder engagements, and / or consulting, would be considered an advantage

Qualifications

• Evaluate current and new/alternative raw materials and packaging materials when necessary.
• Involve in conducting sensory evaluation and shelf life determination & stability study toward new product & existing products.
• Responsible in prepare/produce the product samples and maintain the final product samples; OEM’s clients and in-house projects.
• Assist in production trials and first commercial run of new product.

Responsibilities:

• To provide confidential health advice to individual students.
• To be on standby/On-Call mode according to Call duty schedule.
• To assess students who arrive in the sickbay and arrange a doctor's appointment or, if appropriate, administer medication if required or send them to their lessons if they are believed to be well enough.
