Purpose of the job:

Supervising the planning and follow-up of all financial work to ensure the continuity of the efficiency and growth of the business in the foundation.

Job Responsibilities:

• Participation in the preparation and formulation of the strategic plan and the main objectives of the foundation.
• Prepare the operational plan, annual budget, and department indicators plan according to the foundation's strategy and follow up on its implementation. 
• Prepare the foundation's estimated budget, review the needs and costs of the foundation's activities and projects, and ensure the mechanism for calculating needs and costs and their compliance with accounting standards.
• Monitoring and evaluating the implementation of the approved budget and ensuring compliance with its terms.
• Supervising the credit operations related to the lending portfolio.
• Follow up on the performance reports of the lending portfolio and prepare the necessary reports to monitor risks at an early stage.
• Oversee the control, recording of revenues, and reviewing and verifying cashable documents to ensure financial safety.
• Supervise the completion of all tax requirements.
• Check the integrity and validity of accounting and financial procedures and restrictions to ensure that corrective action is taken early.
• Supervise the annual inventory of the foundation's assets and protect its assets.
• Develop and improve control systems and procedures and financial planning and follow-up.
• Supervise the completion of all the requirements of the external auditor to issue the final accounts of the foundation.
• Build productive relationships and partnerships with stakeholders in terms of the nature of the business of finance.
• Report on financial affairs.
• Participate in the preparation and implementation of the Foundation’s risk management plan.
• Prepare and develop the department's policies, procedures, and regulations and monitor the efficiency of their implementation.
• Develop his subordinates, raise their efficiency, and enhance the level of satisfaction in the department.
• Administrative and technical supervision and the development of performance plans for the department's staff and follow-up on their implementation and review them periodically.

• To support the implementation of activities related to river basin management, water conservation, and environmental stewardship programs, mainly through nature-based solutions
• To promote community engagement, community participation, and building positive partnerships through integrated river basin management
• To establish links with community groups and engage them in the project through a series of activities, workshops, events, and initiatives that lead to project sustainability.
• Work with existing and new stakeholders, including the government, private sector, university, community, and public to plan and deliver outcomes that help increase a greater sense of stakeholder ownership in integrated river basin management.
• Contribute to the planning and development of materials for sustainable water resource management, including the implementation of a local biodiversity action plan, river water quality and river health, resource management, and climate change.
• Able to support, organize, and contribute to GEC’s environmental education and awareness program.
• Assist in the discussion, preparation, and development of projects, collaborations, and CSR activities.
• To support project communication as a key face among the local community and stakeholders during the project planning, implementation, and sustainability phases.

Job Requirement:

• Self-motivated and able to work both independently and in teams.
• Flexible to work long hours and weekends as required.
• Strong communication skills
• Minimum Degree in environmental conservation or equivalent.
• Experience with environmental project management and environmental education is desirable and advantageous.
• Minimum 2 years of working experiences 
• Fluent in a minimum of two (2) languages, English and Malay, with good writing and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel and be independent at the project site.
• Driving license and own transport is an advantage.
• IT competent in word, spreadsheet, and social media content creation.
• Able to work flexibly, including evening and weekend

Job Responsibilities: 

• In charge of curating and managing digital-related activities in order to influence and attract target audience, to promote and market GEC merchandise, and indigenous and local community (ILC) products, brands and messaging;
• Organise digital resources for media campaigns, social media and website, story development, publicity and marketing communications;
• Generate digital media content and campaigns that increases GEC’s brand presence and visibility;
• Enhance and maintain and web-related media and resources (including applications);
• Track and analyse campaign results and success rates based on analytics and related key indicators;
• Develop concepts and design work for GEC's collaterals and merchandise; and
• Support information exchange and networking activities of different programmes, including supporting implementation of projects related to digital content management and information exchange.

Job Requirements:

• Degree or diploma in multimedia or digital communications or relevant field.
• Minimum three years relevant working experience.
• Work experience in communications, media and outreach would be an advantage.
• Fluent in English & Bahasa Melayu (written and spoken), preferably with good writing skills; other languages particularly Malaysian vernacular languages (Mandarin and Tamil) would be an advantage.
• High degree of competency in relevant to multimedia software and social media applications for updating website and graphic design/image.
• Knowledge of or keen interest in environmental issues.
• Meticulous with an eye for details.
• Experience in information exchange, networking and database.
• Self-motivated and able to work both independently and in team.

Job Responsibilities:

• Implement and manage a range of existing projects at site level
• Undertake project activities such as studies, awareness programmes, networking and information exchange
• Prepare technical and management reports 
• Communicate and working with partner agencies at local level (local government, private sector, Civil Society Organisations, and indigenous people and local community groups)
• Plan and execute community development and empowerment events/programmes

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Environmental or Natural Resource Management
• Fluent in English and Malay with good writing skills
• Experience in computer and basic software skills – e.g. Microsoft office
• Experience in management of forest, natural resources, peatland, biodiversity, climate change, and/or plantation issues 
• Minimum 5-8 years relevant working experience
• Experience in communication with multi-stakeholder, including indigenous community
