1. Role Purpose:
The Consultant Oracle Financials is primarily responsible for functioning in a Global DevOps environment, to design and develop technical/ configuration solutions for all Change Requests across Global Corporate Systems & Services (GCSS) for Oracle Financials modules. He/ She should ensure that projects/ change requests are delivered on time, to budget, and with the right quality, by involving in design reviews, code deployment, and systems testing etc. He/ she shall be responsible for managing incident tickets raised for PRODUCTION issues, and meeting SLA, in Oracle Financials modules, including incident triage and resolution. This role requires 50-50 involvement in functional and technical space.
2. Major Job Functions:
a. Responsibilities (Functional)
i. Provide functional design and configuration solutions in support of Experian’s global business processes
ii. Support the effort to build and update Experian’s global business processes
iii. Develop a deep understanding of global business processes and identify continuous improvement opportunities
iv. Interact with Subject matter experts (SME), Global process owners (GPO), and Business users to understand business requirements, provide definitive solutions

vi. Prepare configuration guides (BR100), business requirements (RD50), functional design (MD50), conversions (CV40), test scripts and training manuals
vii. Conduct impact analysis of a change e.g. patches, scripts, data fixes and change requests
viii. Identify and suggest technical and functional process improvements
ix. Generation of test plans for patches/break fixes/change requests to ensure their comprehensiveness and relevance.
b. Responsibilities (Technical)
i. Deliver technical RICEW components that follows Experian custom build standards, deliver to user expectations and perform within expected benchmark levels and Experian global processes
ii. Prepare technical design (MD70), Conversion (CV60), deployment (MD120) documents, and unit test scripts
iii. Responsible for deployment and release of technical changes, in all environments (DEV to PRODUCTION)
iv. Communicate well with peers within, and across tracks, to develop a full understanding of what is being build, and in sharing common RICEW objects
v. Support PRODUCTION issues, in aiding R&D, problem solving, and sharing of knowledge to continuously improve our service levels
vi. Perform code review for CRs delivered by technical team members
c. Responsibilities (Process)
i. Operate in a global DevOps environment, working to deliver Change Requests (CR) and resolution of PRODUCTION incidents concurrently
ii. Follow either traditional waterfall methodology, or agile methodologies (i.e. scrum, Kanban) to deliver CR/ Projects depending on business requirements
iii. Provide Peer approval for UAT and PRODUCTION deployment for CRs delivered by the delivery team
iv. Follow global processes for incident triage and resolution (i.e. follow-the-sun model)
v. Provide positive input to regular team meetings, to enhance both the quality of the application, and improve knowledge and expertise within the team
vi. Work independently with minimum supervision and guidance, to deliver project/ support tasks
vii. Self-learn and apply knowledge to problems faced in day-to-day tasks and share with peers by maintaining the GCSS ERP knowledge base.
