Title: Financial Analyst - Deals Desk
Location: Belgrade, Serbia
The position reports to the America's Regional Deals Desk Leader and works closely with their America's Deals Desk team and the America's sales, finance, and operations teams. This individual provides decision support in the form of financial deal profiling and pricing guidance to ensure comprehensive understanding of risks and financial opportunities for non-standard bids, quotes, and proposals.
This position includes US working hours.
Core responsibilities for this position are as follows:
- Ensure all assigned bids/quotes/proposals are assessed consistently based on policy for the following:
- Gross Margin return from the price requested
- Non-standard commercial terms and conditions
- Unusual risk
- Channel program integrity (where applicable)
- Build profit and loss (P&L) statements and perform gross margin analysis for customer opportunities based on scope of deal
- Lead bid/quote/proposal opportunity through the NCR Voyix bid review process, including ensuring that proper qualification takes place (appropriate financial, commercial and management approvals prior to deal submission)
- Educate sales organization and other teams relevant to Deals Desk processes (including deal structuring best practice, bid review process, systems, and tools), order booking criteria, and basic revenue recognition
- Coordinate with other functions within the organization, including Finance, Legal, Product Management, Professional Services, Service Architects etc., to properly capture costs and enable more effective competitive wins
- Provide ongoing financial analysis on historical bid trends, competitive price positioning, margin results and price erosion
- Remain up to date on knowledge of the NCR Voyix business model, markets, and products
- Participate in regional pricing and strategic initiatives as assigned
- Familiarity with Sarbanes Oxley and Multiple Element Accounting requirements
- Ad hoc projects (including Continuous Improvement projects) as required
Qualifications Education and Background:
- 9 to 11 years of experience in Finance or Finance-related specialties
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, accounting, or economics
- Recognized professional Accounting / Business qualification a plus
- Ability to work United States Eastern Time Zone 3 to 4 days per week (UTC -5 winter months and UTC -4 summer months)
- Demonstrated financial / analytical skills gained through formal education or work experience
- Basic knowledge of US GAAP and International Accounting Standards
- Proficient in Business English (written and verbal communication skills)
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint). Experience with CPQ systems and Tableau a plus
- Ability and confidence to interact with colleagues at all levels and across multiple countries and cultures
- Ability to perform multiple projects simultaneously to effectively manage and produce results in an unpredictable environment with short operational cycles
