Work Scope:
- Articulate an ESG strategy that it is directly tied to the business' strategies and goals
- Develop and execute corporate sustainability initiatives and strategies
- Develop and execute an overall program management and change management strategy related to business initiatives/processes
- Prepare annual ESG/Sustainability reports
- Creates policies, guidelines related to sustainability programs affecting the environment, health, and safety of the organization.
- Engages with internal stakeholders and presenting regular sustainability reports and conduct sustainability assessments.
- Manage the due diligence on all business unit's Sustainability Policies
- Communicate sustainability issues to relevant departments and operating units for immediate responses and actions.
Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in environmental science, sustainability, social sciences, economics, or a related field is usually required.
- Having in-depth knowledge of sustainability, climate change, social issues, and corporate governance is essential.
- Familiarity with international sustainability frameworks and standards such as the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) is also preferred.
- Relevant work experience in sustainability or ESG-related which may include experience in corporate sustainability, ESG investing, stakeholder engagement, or environmental and social impact assessments.
- Excellent communication skills including ability to write clear and concise reports, prepare presentations, and communicate complex sustainability issues to a variety of audiences.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyse and interpret data, identify trends and patterns, and evaluate the effectiveness of sustainability initiatives.
- Strong leadership skills, as they will be responsible for developing and implementing sustainability strategies, engaging with stakeholders, and driving change within an organization.
- Familiarity with sustainability-related software and tools, such as carbon footprint calculators, sustainability reporting software, and ESG rating platforms is also preferred.
- Obtained professional certifications such as the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) or the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) can also be advantageous.
