• Purchase materials, components and equipment as driven by MRP system or reorder Point system
• Drive Gross Margin Improvements through negotiations or localization with supplier on pricing, rework cost and minimizing expediting cost and purchase price variance.

• Monitor inventory levels and place orders as necessary to maintain optimal stock levels.
• Conduct quality checks on received goods, ensuring they meet the specified standards and requirements.
• Organize and file procurement documents, such as contracts and purchase orders, for audit purposes and regulatory compliance.
• Support work improvement activities and performance improvement strategies.
• Track statuses of purchase orders based on open order for intime delivery.
• Carry out any other duties as and when assigned by the immediate supervisor or higher management.

Requirements:

• 1-2 years of relevant working experience.
• Well-organized and responsible with an aptitude in problem-solving.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to perform under pressure.
• Able to perform multitasks in order to support and assist the department on a daily basis.
• Good knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

The role is valued across Koch companies as the buying team manages the creation of POs for IT-related purchases. The role works closely with customers to understand the customer’s needs and to ensure the appropriate product is delivered timely, empowering our employees’ productivity.

What You Will Do In Your Role

• Issue and maintain purchase orders in accordance with procedures.
• Simple sourcing for non-catalog item requests (ex. 3 bids and a buy).
• Collaborating with customers to understand product requirements and articulate requirements accurately to supplier.
• Assist customers with questions and/or status updates related to orders.
• Provide support in the 3-way match process, helping resolve invoicing discrepancies with suppliers and accounting.
• Actively and consistently identify opportunities to simplify and enhance the customer experience.

The Experience You Will Bring Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree/diploma or 2+ years` experience in supply chain management, sourcing or procurement (technical, IT). Candidates with no experience are welcome.
• Strong conceptual, analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving ability.

Overview

You will be responsible to ensure timely supply of materials to Production. You are also expected to work on inventory turn improvement and work closely with suppliers to ensure Key Performance Indicators (KPI) targets are met.

Responsibilities

Demand Managment

• Ensure consistent material supply to Production to meet build plan.
• Utilizes appropriate lean tools to achieve a balance between assurance of supply (AOS) and inventory control.
• Work closely with Order Fulfillment, Planning and Production to manage the dynamic changes in demand.

Supplier Management

• Ensure Supplier On-time-delivery (OTD) performance target is achieved.
• Work with suppliers to ensure agreed safety stock level is maintained and on matters pertaining to open liabilities, demand fluctuations, forecasting.
• Build rapport with suppliers.

Inventory Management

• Work on action plans to achieve desired inventory turns.
• Implement counter measures on root causes to minimize stock-outs.

Daily Management

• Place and track purchasing orders (PO) to suppliers according to dynamic kanban process.
• Provide timely update to Planning and Production on material availability or supply risk.
• Ensure all necessary Daily Management (DM) boards and charts are updated promptly.
• Clearing of blocked invoices
• Review Daily Usage (DU) periodically.
• Work with suppliers on stock-out recovery plans.

Process Improvement

• Apply lean tools to identify and eliminate gaps to drive continuous improvement
• Participate kaizen events and other department improvement projects.
• Review process gaps and implement standard work to improve processes.

Others

• Comply and adhere to the company Quality Management System and Environment, Health & Safety requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Purchasing Manager.

Requirements

• Degree in Supply Chain or related discipline or Diploma in Supply Chain or related discipline with at least 3 years purchasing experience in an MNC environment
• Fresh graduates with Degree are welcome to apply
• Strong interpersonal communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office such as Excel, Powerpoint, PowerBI.
