Roles & Responsibilities for Finance & Accounting Executive
The Accounting and administrative assistant performs a variety of general accounting and admin support tasks in an accounting department and provide support to accounting manager in a company including:
- Verifying the accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents or records. Prepare financial reports, issue cheques, online banking and making deposit.
- Preparing financial documents such as invoices, tax filings, and monthly profit reports. Maintaining files on account receivables and updating records as required. Managing the flow of petty cash by recording all monetary transactions.
- Update and maintain accounting journals, ledgers and other records detailing financial business transactions (e.g., disbursements, expense vouchers, receipts, accounts payable). Enters data into computer system using defined Auto-Count Software.
- Skilled multi-tasker with excellent time management, computer, and communication skills. Compile data and prepare a variety of reports, recommends actions to resolve discrepancies and investigates questionable data.
- Perform various tasks related to billing and payroll, reconcile accounting statements, answer phones, filing paperwork, scan documents and assist with inventory, database, and record maintenance.
- Handle communications with vendors, clients, and internal departments via phone, email and in-person.
Qualifications:
- Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook. Organizational, verbal and written communication skills is a must.
- Attention to detail and ability to multi-task is an asset.
- Candidates holding Diploma and/or higher and minimum 5 years working experience in construction industry accounting

She or He should be professional and courteous with strong computer skills and a thorough understanding of accounting and financial principles and generally ensure that the office operations are running smoothly.
