We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our team in Monterrey, preferably working hybrid (12 days in office), this role focuses on database migrations, so we are looking for a professional with proven experience in similar projects, skilled in tools such as Snowflake, Fivetran, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and relational databases like SQL Server.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute database migrations, ensuring smooth transitions while minimizing downtime.
- Design efficient and scalable solutions in collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Assess and select the most suitable technologies for migration projects.
- Analyze existing databases, identifying optimization opportunities and resolving performance issues.
- Design, implement, and maintain ETL data pipelines, ensuring data quality and consistency.
- Build secure and scalable data architectures with a focus on confidentiality and integrity.
- Document technical processes and best practices to support both the team and end-users.
- Monitor and optimize system performance, implementing proactive solutions to avoid bottlenecks.
- Manage implementation projects, including creating work plans, drafting technical proposals, and coordinating follow-up meetings with clients and teams.
Requirements
Education
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum of 8 years of proven experience as a Data Engineer(mandatory).
- Demonstrated experience in database migration projects.
- Strong expertise in Snowflake, Fivetran, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and SQL Server.
- Advanced knowledge of SQL and data architectures.
Additional Skills
- Experience with No SQL databases.
- Knowledge of agile methodologies and tools such asGit.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
- Excellent problem-solving and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Certifications
- Snowflake certifications.
