Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for
a Senior Network Wireless Engineer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Mexico. Our client is a global biopharmaceutical company.
You'll support the design, implementation, optimization, and troubleshooting of enterprise wireless infrastructure within a global environment. It is a hands-on technical role focused on large-scale wireless networks, requiring strong expertise in Cisco wireless technologies, RF fundamentals, wireless troubleshooting, and integration with enterprise LAN/WAN environments. The perfect candidate must be able to manage wireless operations independently, diagnose complex connectivity and performance issues, and support production wireless environments with minimal supervision
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience supporting enterprise wireless environments.
- Strong understanding of Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers (WLC), Access Points, and Wireless deployments and operations.
- Experience troubleshooting enterprise wireless environments in production.
- Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, DHCP/DNS, and switching fundamentals.
- In-depth understanding of wireless concepts, including: RF fundamentals, Roaming, 802.11 standards, Wireless authentication, CAPWAP, and Interference mitigation.
- Experience performing production changes and operational support in enterprise environments.
- Experience working in global or distributed environments.
- Ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve complex wireless incidents.
Responsibilities
- Configure, deploy, administer, and troubleshoot enterprise wireless infrastructure, including Wireless LAN Controllers (WLCs) and Access Points.
- Support enterprise wireless environments based on Cisco wireless technologies (AireOS / Catalyst 9800 preferred).
- Perform AP onboarding, firmware/image management, controller upgrades, and wireless change implementations in production environments.
- Collaborate with LAN/WAN and security teams to ensure seamless wireless integration.
- Maintain technical documentation, implementation plans, diagrams, and operational procedures.
- Support global stakeholders and distributed teams in wireless operations and deployments.
Nice To Have
- Familiarity with wireless site surveys and RF analysis tools (Ekahau preferred).
- Familiarity with wireless design and capacity planning.
- Exposure to routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP.
- Knowledge of network security concepts, including 802.1X, NAC, VPNs, and Zero Trust.
- Experience with packet captures and wireless traffic analysis.
- Experience with Cisco DNA Center or similar wireless management platforms.
