Job Description
The EHS Technician is responsible for supporting to administration of the Safety, Health and Environment area, to ensure compliance with the organization's objectives, with the goal of reducing accident rates and improving the company's work health, compliance with legal requirements, property security and interests. of the organization. and supporting to ensuring compliance with applicable environmental, health and safety regulations, promoting safety awareness across the organization, supervising security-related activities, managing hazardous and special waste documentation, and supporting the effective operation of the Environmental, Health and Safety Management System.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety of personnel while work is being performed.
- Support the EHS Leader to ensure compliance with applicable STPS standards.
- Train personnel on safety regulations and best practices.
- Prepare, manage, and approve work permits.
- Identify and correct unsafe conditions and acts, as well as investigate incidents and accidents.
- Conduct risk assessments.
- Develop safety procedures, instructions, and forms.
- Ensure the proper functioning of the emergency system (procedures, equipment, inspections, training, etc.).
- Supervise the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Keep safety files, logs, manifests, and waste disposal records up to date and complete.
- Promote a culture of prevention.
- Support the EHS Leader in managing and participating in ISO 14001/ISO 45001/RBA/CTPAT audits.
- Review and manage documentation for suppliers and contractors.
- Review and manage the company’s patrimonial security.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience in occupational health and safety, patrimonial security, or the healthcare field.
- Willingness to travel.
- Availability for full-time work.
- Basic knowledge of ISO 45001/14001 systems.
- Experience managing work permits, release of areas, and safety files.
- Engineer industrial or similar technical degree.
