Job Functions
Provide engineering support in the evaluation and qualification of materials and components submitted by potential suppliers.
The Person In This Role Will
Lead sample testing and qualification activities for new suppliers, ensuring materials meet performance, quality, and specification requirements.
Coordinate and execute material testing (mechanical, physical, chemical, and application‑specific tests) in collaboration with internal labs and external resources.
Analyze test data, prepare reports, and provide recommendations on supplier approval or required corrective actions.
Partner with Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, and Global Operations to align test requirements and prioritization.
Develop and document testing protocols, acceptance criteria, and supplier qualification procedures.
Maintain and update internal specifications related to supplier material requirements.
Interpret and apply relevant industry and regulatory standards to supplier qualification activities.
