Job Description:
The Chargeman BO (11kV) is to oversee and manage the operation and maintenance of high voltage (HV) electrical systems up to 11kV.The candidate must ensure the electrical installations and equipment comply with Energy Commission of Sabah (ECOS) regulations and safety standards.
Job Description:
- Operate, inspect, and maintain 11kV switchgears, transformers, and associated electrical systems.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and troubleshoot breakdowns of electrical systems
- Ensure the electrical systems complies with Energy Commission of Sabah (ECOS) regulations and safety standards.
- Prepare reports for inspections, maintenance, and system performance.
- Supervise electrical technicians and coordinate with contractors during repairs and maintenance.
- Respond to electrical emergencies and restore power with minimal downtime.
- Monitor power consumption and propose energy-saving initiatives.
- Ensure proper documentation and maintain equipment logs.
- Liaise with utility providers (e.g.SESB) and regulatory bodies when required.
- Prepare technical documentation, specifications, and progress reports.
