Job Summary
- Assist the top management to oversee day-to-day operations of multiple engagements
- Involved with management of legal, regulatory, and accounting issues that arise during audit engagements
- Responsible for supervision and management of services to clients, including preparation of audit strategy and business plans, setting budgets, scheduling audits
Duties and Responsibilities
- Involved in planning, supervising, coordinating, performing and assigning audit engagements
- Identify and communicate audit issues, technical matters and improvement opportunities with managers and partners to resolve client issues discovered during the audit process
- Possess solid understanding of accounting and auditing principles (e.g MFRS/IFRS/MPERS/CA 2016 and ISA), quality control standards and technology implementation procedures
- Performs special projects (non-audit related jobs) (e.g: due diligence review and etc)
- Develop and maintain an excellent working relationship with all levels of client staff to increase customer satisfaction and to strengthen client relationships
- Maintain and comply with the highest degree of professional standards, client confidentiality and personal conduct
- Schedule, delegate, and review the work of one or more staff members, support on-the-job training, and evaluate their performance.
Requirements
- Possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, or those with a full or partial professional
- qualification (MICPA, ACCA, ICAEW, ICA, ICAA, CPA(A) or CIMA)
- At least 5 years of relevant external audit experience
- Computer literate with working knowledge of MS Office applications
- Knowledge in ProSystem fx Engagement will be an added advantage
- Experience involved in managerial role will be an added advantage
- Experience involved in audit of PLC and engagement in compliance with MFRS is an added advantage
- Self-motivated, positive attitude, strong drive to excel professionally, and to guide and motivate others
- Attention to detail with a commitment to high quality and accuracy
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Team players with strong communication and interpersonal skills
