Get to Know the Role
We are looking for a dynamic and strategic Tech Governance Manager to join our team. You will be reporting to the Head of Governance, and you will work with the Tech and Engineering Teams and other Governance, Risk and Compliance functions. You will lead Grab Tech's proactive governance initiatives — ensuring compliance, scalable control design, and cross-functional alignment.
You will base onsite in our Petaling Jaya office.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
- Lead the development and continuous update of our Technology Governance Framework, including policies, standards, and guidelines.
- Lead the identification and assessment of technology risks including AI-specific risks and defining controls to mitigate these risks.
- Collaborate with Tech and Engineering teams to ensure the systematic enforcement and automated implementation of controls within systems.
- Define metrics, systematically monitor and report on the effectiveness of governance controls and risk mitigation strategies to Leadership.
- Drive the integration of AI governance into existing tech governance, risk and compliance processes and tooling.
- Leverage and scale the use of AI-driven tools to automate governance operations, including automated compliance checks, controls monitoring, policy drafting, and automated evidence collection
- Be the control owner for technology controls, as the primary contact and subject matter expert for SOX audits and regulatory inspections.
- Oversee compliance with evolving industry regulations, and internal mandates, proactively adjusting strategies to mitigate exposure.
- Collaborate with multiple departments to integrate governance best practices into all technology projects and operations.
- Champion organisation-wide training and enablement programs to cultivate a strong culture of technology and risk awareness.
- Be an internal thought leader on the latest technology trends, AI ethics, and regulatory changes to future-proof our governance posture.
