Responsibilities:
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot factory utility systems, including electrical power distribution, compressed air systems, chilled water and cooling systems, HVAC, gas supply, scrubber systems, and wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) equipment.
- Perform water sampling and basic laboratory testing (e.g., pH, COD, BOD, TSS), analyze results, and adjust chemical dosing as required to ensure compliance with standards.
- Ensure a stable and continuous supply of utilities to production lines and critical equipment.
- Monitor utility performance and identify abnormalities to prevent production downtime.
- Carry out general maintenance and handyman tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
- Execute preventive maintenance (PM) activities for all facility and utility equipment.
- Perform troubleshooting and corrective repairs with minimal disruption to production.
- Identify recurring issues and support root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
- Provide on-site technical support during production hours.
- Respond promptly to any facility-related issues affecting production.
- Assist in machine installation, relocation, and commissioning from a facilities perspective.
- Ensure compliance with EHS, fire safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Adhere to shutdown/startup procedures, permit-to-work systems, and contractor safety guidelines.
- Support internal audits, customer audits, and regulatory inspections.
- Participate in emergency response situations (e.g., power failure, gas leaks, fire alarms, water leaks).
- Maintain accurate records for maintenance, breakdown reports, and utility consumption.
- Support 5S practices and maintain good housekeeping in facility areas.
- Provide on-call or shift support for facility-related emergencies.
- Carry out any other duties as assigned by the Company.
Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma or Certificate in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related field).
- At least 1–3 years of working experience in factory facilities, utilities, or maintenance environment.
- Basic knowledge of facility systems such as electrical distribution, HVAC, compressed air, chilled water, and wastewater treatment systems.
- Ability to perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance of equipment.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance (PM) practices and safety procedures.
- Knowledge of EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) requirements and regulatory standards is an added advantage.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and support production needs.
- Willing to work on shifts, on-call, or during emergency situations when required.
- Good teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Responsible, disciplined, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
