- The GrabMart Merchant Acquisition team owns the full merchant journey. This journey includes shaping acquisition strategy and curating the right assortment, as well as setting pricing, designing promotions, and driving partner success across our on-demand retail and groceries platform.
- We work closely with Marketing, Operations, Product, and Regional teams to deliver standout selection, smart pricing, and best-in-class experiences for our users.
- In this role, you'll partner closely with Key Account Managers and Partner Operations. You'll bring strategic retail partners on board, including supermarkets, convenience chains, specialty, lifestyle, and FMCG brands. You'll ensure a seamless onboarding experience together with the KAM team.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
- Develop and execute strategies to acquire new merchants for GrabMart, including identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with key decision-makers, and negotiating commercial agreements.
- Manage a pipeline of prospective retail partners, tracking progress and ensuring consistent follow-up to hit acquisition targets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams — including Key Account Management, Marketing, Product, and Operations — to ensure a cohesive approach to merchant acquisition and onboarding.
- Analyze retail and quick-commerce trends, competitor activity, and category developments to identify opportunities and refine acquisition strategies.
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly targets across new merchant signings, category coverage, and GMV contribution — reporting on progress and adjusting strategies as needed.
