Job Responsibilities
- Compliance Management: Ensure all site activities comply with the Environmental Quality Act 1974 and other relevant environmental laws and regulations.
- EMP Implementation: Execute and monitor the Environmental Management Plan (EMP) and Erosion and Sediment Control Plan (ESCP).
- Site Inspections: Conduct regular site audits to identify environmental risks (e.g., scheduled waste, water quality, noise, and dust) and recommend corrective actions.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit monthly environmental reports to the Project Manager and relevant government agencies.
- Authority Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for the Department of Environment (DOE), JAS, and local municipal councils regarding environmental audits and permits.
- Training: Provide environmental awareness training and briefings to site staff and subcontractors.
Job Requirements
- Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering (Environmental/Health/Safety), or a related discipline.
- Registered Environmental Officer (EO) with DOE or relevant competent certifications (e.g., CePSWAM or CePBFO) is highly preferred.
- Minimum 2–4 years of working experience in environmental management within the construction or SME industry.
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian environmental regulations and reporting requirements.
- Fluent in English and Bahasa Melayu to handle documentation and authority site visits.
- Location: Must be willing to work on-site in Klang.
