We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented R&D Chemist to play a vital role in our product development and innovation team. The R&D Chemist will contribute to the formulation, testing, and optimization of health food products in various dosage forms, helping us bring innovative and high-quality products to the market.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the internal team to formulate and develop health food products in different dosage forms.
- Conduct laboratory-scale formulation batches with sensory tests, and other related tests to optimize product formulations for quality, stability, and efficacy.
- Participate in prototype development, ensuring that products meet desired sensory, nutritional, and functional attributes.
- Assist in evaluating and selecting raw materials, ensuring they meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Document and maintain accurate records of experiments, procedures, and results.
- Prepare product write-ups.
- Assist in the scale-up and manufacturing process, collaborating with contract manufacturers and suppliers.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, scientific advancements, and regulatory changes related to health food product development.
- Support the team in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues that may arise during product development. Work closely with marketing and regulatory teams to ensure accurate product claims and compliance with labelling requirements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science or related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a laboratory setting, preferably in health food product development.
- Strong understanding of food science, formulation principles, and tests relevant to food products.
- Hands-on experience with formulation of food products and the relevant testing.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
