Job Function: Responsible for designing and developing precise product drawings, component parts, and technical specifications in accordance with company requirements, manufacturing best practices, and ISO standards to support new product development and existing product improvement
Duties and Responsibilities
• Measure, draft, and develop accurate drawings of products and component parts using CAD software
• Determine product specifications and perform verification, revision, and maintenance of drawings
• Discuss and coordinate with the Product Development Team to ensure drawings convey correct technical information
• Monitor and ensure all products and production processes meet company requirements and ISO standards
• Amend details and specifications on drawings as required and ensure all revisions are properly documented
• Prepare product Bill of Materials (BOM) for new and existing items for future reference
• Create and update forms and documents for new developed products in coordination with the Quality Control Department
• Ensure all drawings are updated and properly maintained in the company’s ISO document control system
• Organize, store, and back up all technical drawings and related files systematically
• Prepare daily job done report and update daily job pending status
• Ensure all products, samples, and prototypes are properly labelled and stored in good condition
• Maintain measuring tools, instruments, and equipment in good working order and safe condition
Qualifications & Requirements
- SPM or equivalent qualification (Technical Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / CAD will be an advantage)
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar)
- Experience in product design or technical drawing in a manufacturing environment is an advantage
- Good knowledge of moulding, tooling, and manufacturing processes
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Strong analytical and designing skills
- Able to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
