Responsibilities :
1. Monitor daily site activities to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
2. Identify hazards and implement corrective/preventive measures.
3. Enforce the use of proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
4. Conduct toolbox meetings and safety briefings
5. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses; prepare reports with recommendations
6. Enforce safety policies and procedures across all factory operations
7. Identify hazards related to heavy machinery, lifting equipment, and industrial processes
8. Monitor crane assembly and load testing activities to ensure safe lifting practices
9. Ensure all workers follow safe work procedures and method statements
10. Maintain safety records, reports, and documentation
11. Liaise with project managers, contractors, and regulatory authorities on safety matters
12. Ensure compliance with local safety laws and standards (e.g., OSHA or local regulations)
13. Monitor emergency preparedness (fire drills chemical spillage, evacuation plans, etc.)
14. Perform any other duties assigned by management from time to time
Qualification :
- Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering or related field is an added advantage.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience as Site Safety Supervisor in construction or industrial safety.
- Strong knowledge of Malaysia safety regulations, OSHA requirement and site HSE practices.
- Strong understanding of machinery and lifting safety is an added advantage.
- Ability to identify risks and implement practical solutions
- Proficient in written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia. Proficiency in Mandarin and/or Cantonese is an added advantage
- Willingness to travel frequently to customer sites including outstation sites.
