The Role
The Process Technician supports Product and Process Engineers in daily production floor activities, including MES implementation, new line setup, equipment setup and maintenance, and process evaluations. The role involves preparing work instructions, verifying process standard times, supporting jig and fixture setup, and participating in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Product / Process Engineer for the following tasks:• Support daily engineering related activities in production floor.• MES implementation, execution and support.• New line setup. He / She must make sure the process flow chart, work instruction, process standard time, jigs and fixture and machine are readily prepared. • Perform setup / maintenance for the engineering equipment.• Perform engineering evaluation and report.• Equipment, Jig and Fixture Buyoff• Process Standard Time verification• Participate in Kaizen activities to achieve process improvement, cost reduction and yield improvement.• Perform any other duties assigned by engineers.
Skills & Experience
- At least 3 years working experience in an electrical / electronic related manufacturing.
- Experience in motion time study technique, work instruction preparation, jig and fixture setup and etc.
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing principles and practices.
- Having computer literate knowledge, especially Microsoft office application.
- Able to work independently, self-motivated, commitment, result oriented and a good team player.
- Able to work shift
Qualifications
- Diploma / Certificate in Industrial/ Electronics/ Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
