RESPONSIBILITIES / AUTHORITIES:
Main duties
- Production Planning Execution & Coordination
- Assist Oversee the entire production process of precast concrete products including mold preparation, reinforcement placement, concrete casting, curing, and demolding, ensuring that production schedules are followed.
- Collaborate with Assistant Engineer or Engineer to plan job schedules and material orders
- Maintain production records, prepare daily reports, and submit to Assistant Engineer or Engineer
- Coordinate with sub-contractors, site personnel and internal teams to resolve production or delivery issues
- Supervision & Workforce Management
- Supervise workers to ensure proper execution of tasks on the casting floor.
- Monitor workforce productivity and discipline, and provide guidance or training when required.
- Coordinate shift arrangements and ensure adequate manpower coverage.
- Train, coach, and mentor production workers on procedures, safety protocols, and best practices
- Quality Control Support & Compliance
- Ensure production activities comply with approved shop drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Enforce quality control measures in partnership with the QC team and address non-conformances promptly and implement corrective actions.
- Support continuous improvement in quality control practices and procedures.
- Interdepartmental Coordination
- Coordinate closely with the Engineering, Mould, Rebar, Concrete, and Logistics departments to ensure a smooth production workflow.
- Monitor equipment maintenance needs and work with the Repair & Maintenance Department to minimize downtime
- Material & Resource Management
- Monitor availability of raw materials, inserts, accessories, and consumables required for production.
- Assist in reducing material wastage and ensuring proper storage and handling of materials.
- Troubleshooting & Problem-Solving
- Identify bottlenecks and issues in production and take prompt action to resolve them.
- Escalate major issues to the Production Manager and provide support in implementing solutions.
- Health, Safety & Housekeeping
- Ensure strict compliance with workplace safety standards and practices.
- Conduct regular safety inspections, toolbox talks, safety audits, and corrective actions and promote a safe working environment.
- Ensure cleanliness and orderliness of the production area.
- Monitor and make sure the workers work in safe environment with good PPE condition.
- Reporting & Documentation & Continuous Improvement
- Prepare and maintain production reports, daily progress logs, and casting records.
- Assist in analyzing production performance and identifying areas for improvement.
- Training & Development
- Support the development and training of production staff to improve skill levels and job efficiency.
- Conduct briefings and toolbox talk to ensure understanding of work procedures and safety.
- Other Duties
- Carry out any additional responsibilities as delegated by the Assistant Production Engineer/ Production Engineer/ Production Manager.
