Job Summary & Purpose
Responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure all manufactured products meet required quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. The role also leads continuous improvement initiatives and manages the QA team. Ensure consistent product quality by overseeing processes, setting standards, and ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
1. Quality Management System (QMS)
- Develop, implement, and maintain QMS in line with standards, Establish quality policies, procedures, and work instructions. Ensure compliance with regulatory and customer requirements
2. Production Quality Oversight
- Monitor manufacturing processes to ensure product quality and consistency. Manage non-conformance, CAPA (Corrective & Preventive Actions), and root cause analysis
3. Audits & Compliance
- Plan and conduct internal and external quality audits. Lead customer and regulatory audits. Ensure audit findings are addressed with effective corrective actions
4. Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop QA/QC team members. Manage team performance, training, and succession planning. Build a strong quality culture across the organization
5. Supplier Quality Management
- Evaluate and approve suppliers and contractors. Monitor supplier/sub-contractor performance and conduct supplier audits. Ensure incoming materials/parts meet quality standards
6. Continuous Improvement
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives. Analyze quality data and KPIs to identify improvement opportunities. Reduce defects, waste, and cost of poor quality
7. Customer Quality & Complaints
- Handle customer complaints and ensure timely resolution. Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions. Maintain customer satisfaction and product reliability
8. Reporting & Metrics
- Track and report quality KPIs (defect rate, yield, customer complaints). Present quality performance to senior management. Use data-driven decision making
9. Risk Management
- Identify quality risks in processes and products. Implement preventive measures and mitigation strategies. Ensure product safety and compliance
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Management, or related field.
- 5–10+ years in quality assurance within manufacturing
- Minimum 3–5 years in a managerial or leadership role
- Experience with QMS, audits, and regulatory compliance
- Strong background in production/process quality
