Job Description:
Design and develop precision optical systems for vision-based applications
Develop and optimise illumination systems for imaging and inspection solutions
Perform optical simulations and ray-tracing analysis using specialised software (e.g. Zemax)
Conduct optical testing and evaluate system performance using appropriate methodologies
Prepare detailed technical documentation, reports, and design specifications
Stay updated on advancements in optics, photonics, and illumination technologies to drive innovation
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing) to integrate optical systems into products
Requirements:
Degree / Master’s / PhD in Physics, Optics, or a related discipline
Minimum 2 years of experience in optical design and optical systems development
Strong knowledge of optical principles and related mechanical design
Hands-on experience with optical testing and performance evaluation methods
Proficient in optical design software (e.g. Zemax)
Good understanding of chromatic aberration, MTF, and precision measurement techniques
Experience in lighting/illumination system design and simulation is an advantage
