QA/QC Inspector
Job Responsibilities
• QA/QC Inspector ensures storage tank and piping construction, repair, or maintenance complies with project specifications and international codes (API 650/653). Key duties include inspecting materials, welding, foundation, and geometry (peaking/banding). They witness hydrotesting, manage non-conformance reports (NCR), and maintain documentation Key Responsibilities & Duties
• Inspection Activities: Perform visual inspection and NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) of welding, tank shells, roofs, and bottoms.
• Material Verification: Review Material Test Reports (MTR) for plates, pipes, and fittings to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Dimensional Checks: Verify tank foundation, levelness, shell verticality, and diameter, including checking for peaking and banding.
• Testing Witnessing: Supervise hydrostatic tests, pneumatic tests, and vacuum box testing for tightness.
• Documentation & Reporting: Prepare Inspection and Test Plans (ITP), daily reports, and final dossiers.
• Quality Compliance: Issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) and monitor corrective actions.
Required Skills and Qualifications
• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineer
• Certification- CSWIP 3.1 Welding inspector • Codes Knowledge: Deep understanding of ASME, API 650/653, ASTM standards.
• Technical Skills: Ability to interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, and welding procedures (WPS/PQR).
• Experience: Generally, requires 5–10 years of experience in tank fabrication or maintenance.
• Software: Proficiency in MS Office and specialized inspection
