Role Overview:
We are seeking a General Practitioner (GP) with experience or interest in Paediatrics Medicine to join our private day clinic. This is a clinic-based outpatient role providing comprehensive medical care to infants, children, adolescents, and adults, with a primary focus on paediatric care, preventive health, vaccination services, growth and development monitoring, diagnosis, treatment, and patient/parent education, within an OPD setting.
Key Responsibilities:
· Conduct thorough OPD consultations and physical examinations
· Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses commonly seen in clinic practice
· Administer vaccinations as per national and recommended immunization schedules
· Monitor growth and developmental milestones, particularly in pediatric patients
· Identify, screen, and provide initial assessment for developmental concerns, including suspected autism spectrum traits, and refer patients to appropriate government or private Child Development Centres (CDC) for further evaluation and management.
· Provide guidance on nutrition, hygiene, safety, and preventive healthcare
· Counsel patients and families on disease management and healthy lifestyle practices
· Collaborate with other healthcare professionals for coordinated patient care
· Maintain accurate, timely medical and electronic medical records (EMR)
· Follow clinic protocols, infection control measures, and ethical medical practices
Qualifications & Requirements:
· MBBS / MD / MBBCh or equivalent from a recognized institution
· Eligible for registration with the Brunei Medical Board (BMB)
· Minimum 5 years’ experience in primary care, family medicine, or paediatric OPD
· Good communication skills and a patient-centric approach
Added Advantage (Not Mandatory):
· Diploma in Child Health (DCH) or equivalent
· GP / Family Medicine qualification (MRCGP, MRCP, FRACGP, FACRRM, DABFM)
· Experience in child development monitoring and preventive paediatrics
