As a key member of our procurement team, the Purchasing Executive will be responsible for managing end-to-end procurement operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing to support continuous production and business efficiency.
Main Responsibilities:
- Perform Direct and Indirect Material planning and execution to meet Production schedule
- Maintain optimum / healthy inventory levels at all times.
- Prepare and issue purchase orders (P.O.) in compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Process and monitor purchase orders, ensuring timely deliveries from suppliers.
- Assist HOD in sourcing materials for new sales enquiries
- Source and evaluate new suppliers for competitive pricing, quality, and timely delivery.
- Support cost-reduction initiatives and continuous procurement process improvements.
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues related to delivery, quality, or documentation.
- Prepare regular reports on purchasing activities, cost analysis, and supplier performance.
- Ensure compliance with ISO/IATF procedures and documentation standards in Purchasing Department
- Coordinate with internal departments to identify purchasing needs and specifications.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and track key performance indicators (KPIs).
Requirements:
- Minimum STPM or Higher Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in purchasing/procurement within a manufacturing environment.
- (Preferred industries: Metal Stamping / Automotive / CNC Machining)
- Possess Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in inventory planning, forecasting, and materials requirement planning.
- Knowledge in application of ERP/SAP systems will be an added advantage.
- Must be computer literate ie Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) applications.
- Knowledge in ISO/IATF QMS is an added advantage.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
